Alan Holmes comes from a family of communications professionals. He majored in Political Science at North Carolina A&T State University. After college, he embarked on a journey that would take him initially to Sarasota, FL, where he served as a field organizer on Christine Jennings congressional campaign. He eventually made it to the city he had dreamed of living for years…Washington D.C. Initially he served as a campaign finance analyst with the Federal Election Commission, but realized that communications was his calling.
Alan served as a press intern in the Office of Congresswoman Maxine Waters, and assisted the office with developing a social media strategy that resulted in Congresswoman Waters winning a new media competition. Prior to this, he assisted various friends with managing the social media accounts for their businesses. His time spent working as a press secretary on the Rob Garagiola for Congress campaign really set in motion his long desire to start a new media firm. With the help of over 40 volunteers, Alan crafted a social media and rapid response plan that proved to be immensely successful. Despite being outspent almost 2 to 1, the campaign finished with more Facebook “likes” and followers on Twitter than their opponent.
