A major part of AL&Ps’ practice is providing comprehensive engineering services for solar electric, solar thermal, wind, natural gas and other renewable energy systems to power new or existing buildings, developments and communities.
AL&P forms collaborative teams with private, commercial, utility and research clients to develop innovative sustainable energy solutions to achieve your goals.

AL&P provides solar photovoltaic, solar thermal, natural gas and wind power systems on a turnkey basis.

We provide building owners with a single source of responsibility for the full design/build process:

  • site selection and orientation
  • feasibility assessment and concept design
  • complete systems design and engineering
  • data acquisition (DAS), performance monitoring and display
  • navigating the permitting and regulatory environment in the United States and abroad
  • sourcing and procurement of key materials

Upon project completion, we also offer the owner further assistance including:

  • comprehensive systems commissioning
  • final code approvals and utility interconnection acceptance testing
  • as-built drawings and O&M manuals
  • owner O&M training
  • full systems warranty/service agreement

Zero-Energy Buildings

“Zero-energy” simply describes buildings that produce as much energy as they consume, or more. How is this achieved?

Zero-energy buildings make environmental and economic sense.
AL&P’s approaches the design of new zero-energy homes and commercial spaces with a proven methodology that includes:
